I am a philosopher trained in the phenomenological tradition, with interests in a wide range of historical and contemporary questions. My current focus is on the interconnection between time, finitude, subjectivity, and plurality.
I specialize in phenomenology, existential philosophy, and German Idealism.
I have also studied extensively in the following areas:
- Ricœur’s philosophical anthropology;
- Philosophy of perception and memory;
- Critical phenomenology of race;
- Philosophy of technology;
- History of early modern science.
I am currently a Postdoctoral Fellow (Shui-Mu Scholar/水木学者) at the Department of Philosophy, Tsinghua University, Beijing.
I received my Ph.D. (Philosophy) from McGill University in 2022. I also hold a M.Phil. (Philosophy of Science and Technology) and a B.S. (Chemistry) from Peking University, China.
Apart from philosophy, I have hobbies in coffee brewing, table tennis, photography, typography, world history, and 19th-/20th-Century literature. My favorite authors are Dostoevsky, Kafka, and Márquez.
